I eat out alot.. sometimes you want classic eats .. you know a coney and fries or maybe a Ceasars salad with seasoned grilled chicken. Or maybe a really good Gyro.. well look no further than here .. come in and roll up your sleeves and dive in... btw they have awesome soup.. not just chili.

Great place to get a coney. Fries are fresh and hot and they actually put enough chili on the hotdog so it's covered completely unlike the other coney places. Food is good service is quick and reasonably priced. Yes they only take cash but it's not expensive here.

Known for there famous chili, Davison is okay in my book. The Grilled Chicken Salad was really good. The lettuce was fresh, tomatoes and cucumbers, onion plentiful. I like that they give you a good portion of chicken, not the typical 3 strips or half breast. Overall I like Davison, the bad part is the limited hours. They are open only until 6pm during the week, shorter hours on the weekend and during the winter. Very antique set up and I swear the cash register is older than my mom (yes my mom). Lol However, the food is known in Oak Park and every thing has been really good including the Coney dogs. Tip: Make sure you carry cash as they do not take credit or debit cards.

I eat here all the time because it's close to my job. I had their breakfast for the first time today and it was good. I ordered a egg white omelet with ham, cheese, and mushrooms, with wheat toast, no hash browns (i'm trying to drop a couple of pounds). I had a cup of the spicy chicken chili yesterday and that was delicious. I like that they have a lot of healthy options as well as other options (like chili dogs...um um good) for when i want to indulge. The staff is also very friendly. I am a customer for life.

Awful chili atmosphere and food. Will never be back

Great place! It was voted top 3 in 2009 behind the two originals in Downtown Detroit, but came out 1st in 2010. Still love the place, I hope the tradition goes on and quality stays on top.

Visit here so often and order carry out on a regular basis, they know my voice over the phone. Sam is always delightful, and his staff is always very friendly. If you're looking for a good meal and reasonable pricing, you need to stop the car here.

I used to eat here all of the time when it was on my way home from work. The food is just wonderful and the service is great. The owner always remembered me even if I hadn't been in for a while. The chili is so good and the fries are plentiful, crisp and hot. If you love coney's, you must try this place!
